The Hyatt Regency sits right on Lady Bird Lake with terrace views of the bridge. Stay for dinner at the restaurant and catch the bats without fighting crowds.
Pro Tips
- ⏰Arrive early. The bridge gets crowded, especially on weekends. 90 minutes before sunset is ideal for prime spots.
- 🧭Face east. The bats fly toward Lady Bird Lake, so the east sidewalk of the bridge gives the best views.
- 🎒Bring bug spray. Mosquitoes are active at dusk too. Ironic, but true.
